Tax SeasonIt’s Tax Season and I dare say it’s not many people’s favorite time of year.

While my own taxes aren’t terribly complicated, I know many of you have an aging parent as a dependent, or, you are the one responsible for their taxes. and, it can get pretty involved. I’ve run across a few sites that might be useful to you if you are in this situation.

Please note, I’m not an expert on taxes or tax law, I don’t even play one on the Internet. As a matter of fact, I do well to get my taxes done at all, I just thought you might be able to learn something from these sites:

Tax Breaks for Caregivers
Tax Tips for Caregivers and Seniors
IRS Publication 54: Tax Guide for Seniors (pdf file)
IRS Tax Counseling for the Elderly (another pdf file)
IRS Tips for Seniors in Preparing Their Taxes
5 Essential Tax Tips for Caregivers

I hope you can use some of these tax tips for yourself or your loved one.
