Teaching Children to Sew

Debbie Colgrove over at Sewing.about.com has a great article about teaching your little ones the basics. I think that I just might re-read those basics. A button I can manage, anything above that and I’m lost. Damn sewing machines. They just refuse to work for me!

I did start out with good intentions though. I even took home economics in high school… big waste of time that was. I can still remember the night of the fashion show. I had a brand new skirt that Mom helped me whip up the night before. There was absolutely no way I was going to appear in a fashion show wearing what I had managed to sew!

That book up there… I think they wrote it for me!!
