Teaching Energy Conservation

With the help of a $5000 grant given to two teachers by PG&E, students would be able to learn more about solar energy and how to conserve energy. These two teachers (who teach science, by the way) are Mike and Lynn Skutches and they have cooked up a campaign which would be put into action in Soulsbyville Elementary.

The couple has been one of the advocates of energy conservation. They have installed solar panels in their home and they are going to educate students about what solar energy is and the advantages of using solar energy. Mike said that with the campaign that they are putting in practice, they do hope that all students who would be exposed to it would be able to understand the practicality that solar energy has. Mike also added, “It’s for the educational value, to show them what can be done.”

Programs like this really help out a lot in education people about solar energy and what benefits we could get from it.
