Teen takes live in public online suicide
Florida teen, Abraham K Biggs, aka CandyJunkie, committed suicide this past week and shocked the world. He even put it all on a web cam. Before killing himself he left a message explaining he’d hurt people and hated himself for being a failure. Within moments he took several pills and lay on the bed facing away from the camera.
Viewers wrote in telling him not to do it that there were other options, while others egged him on. Many probably thought this was some type of game, but in the end he did not get up. Someone eventually called his local authorities who crashed the door down and turned off the camera.
This young man, age 19, was screaming out for someone to help him and not a single person heard him. He’d posted on a forum earlier in the day that he would kill himself that night. I have no clue if his family had any idea he was dealing with such a depression or not. But it makes one think about their own children and I for one am going to hug mine in just a minute and ask how they are doing. Have you found out what’s going on in your child’s life?
How can we watch as one takes his own life? But is there any way of stopping it either? One key is open communication, open those doors today.

I imagine that many people thought he was making a bid for attention. It is very sad.
