Teenage Mood Swings – Would You Change Them If You Could?

What would the teen years be without all those mood swings? My guess is, boring.

A team of scientist from the State University of New York have identified the hormone THP that causes the mood swings in adolescents. While this hormone has a calming effect for adults, it creates anxiety in teens. Having identified the hormone, scientists could feasibly alter the gene in control and bypass puberty altogether (at least that is how I understood the article).

Personally, I wouldn’t want this to hormone to be altered. Dealing with stress, daily challenges and all the other stuff Mother Nature throws at us as we grow is what makes us who we are as adults.

What do you think? Me – mood swings keep us human.

Ummm I should probably answer this in a week or two when the current mood swing has swung out. :)

I wouldn’t want my opinion to be biased or anything LOL

But wouldn’t life be dull without the swings?

How are you adjusting to four teens under one roof?

  3. Gayla says:

I think I could probably handle it better if each of them would pick one day a week to swing and leave me with a day of down time to recharge my own batteries.

Four pubescents at the same time is a freakin’ nightmare.
