Teens Getting High On Salvia

Always on the look out for a good time, teens are turning to a new drug. In the past couple of years some teens have found the Mexican herb, Salvia. Salvia is a powerful hallucinogenic herb with psychedelic effects. And it’s very potent. A teen can begin to feel the effects within just minutes of smoking it. According to experts, this drug works 10 times faster than cocaine.

And it’s legal.

Yep, you heard me. Teens can legally buy this drug in most states and many countries. A drug that causes kids to blackout, lose their balance, get in to accidents and distort their vision can legally be bought by anyone. They can purchase it on the internet. There are tons of videos on YouTube of kids on a Salvia trip and it’s not pretty.

So be on the lookout for this herb and any changes in your kids behavior. And make sure your teens understand that just because something isn’t illegal (yet) doesn’t mean it’s not dangerous.

I understand your concern and I believe states should take the direction California took.

Making it illegal to sell to minors

  2. Kobi says:

Well Salvia is a drug… which makes you hallucinate. That is it’s purpose. So it’s not dangerous if taken responsible. If not, then yeah, any drug can be dangerous.

But should we really ban it?
If answer is yes, then you should ban alcohol. That thing is far more dangerous, because it lasts hours.
    Salvia lasts 5 minutes.

  3. Christine says:

There are already restrictions on alcohol. It is illegal to sell alcohol to minors under the age of 21 in all U.S. states. There is no such restriction for Salvia in most states.

  4. Adilson Oliveira says:

To “ban” a thing is just stupid. People will go after it one way or another and that creates a black market.
Make it illegal for minors, I agree but telling an adult what she/he can ingest or not is pretty dumb.

hey guys, check out this site I just found about Salvia: http://www.salviasociety.org  I heard about it on Fox News last night. The guy who owns it was talking how he’s trying to stop legislation in different states from banning the herb.  I hope he succeeds, meanwhile they just banned it in my State (Minnesota)

  6. buy salvia says:

Teenagers can easily become drug-addicts nowadays as products like salvia are still legal.
