It’s time to talk.
More than 70% of Americans know someone who has experienced domestic violence, but we aren’t communicating about it. Each day, three women in the US die as a result of domestic violence.
Academy Award-winning actress Mira Sorvino has joined with The Allstate Foundation to urge women to Tell a Gal P.A.L. to help end their domestic violence.

October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and you can help by starting the P.A.L. conversation:
Pass It On—Talk freely about domestic violence to break the taboo. Tell others that economic abuse is a part of domestic violence.
Act—Never underestimate how small acts, like listening, can make a big difference.
Learn—Empower yourself with knowledge and resources available to help yourself, or someone you know, out of an abusive relationship.
At Click to Empower, you can share your story or read stories from other women. If you share your story, you may also enter to win an official Tell a Gal P.A.L. t-shirt like Mira is wearing above. Click to Empower also offers additional resources and facts on domestic violence.
Domestic violence victims in need of immediate assistance may visit The National Domestic Violence Hotline or call 1-800-799-SAFE.
