Texas And Its Wind Farm

A new wind farm may soon rise in Texas City. This is according to a piece of news that I came across early today. It said that a company that deals with energy, Duke Energy, is actually looking at building a wind farm in the mentioned area.

Just how huge will the wind farm be? Well, they are looking at putting in 30 units of windmills in the piece of land that they are considering. The company has already done a feasibility study and it seems like they are going to be building it in the northern part of the city where there is also a water reservoir. The land is owned by the Gulf Coast Water Authority.

They still have to create proposals and have these approved. But this is a really huge project and it may take some time to complete if they are looking at pushing this through.

I think the passive energy field is something that will really take off in many cities since the energy is already there and they can save a lot of money in the long term by putting in wind farms. I really do not see why more buildings and cities are not trying out the mini-wind farms on the tops of buildings as they cannot be seen and can power parts of the building. That’s a ROI in the first year.
