Textured collage papers

Make Art Monday!

One of the true pleasures of being a mixed media artist is when your stash of painted papers begins to run low. No, really…because now you’ve got an excuse to set aside a day and make more! I love to have a lot of papers and fabrics to choose from, and I really don’t like having to stop in the middle of the kind of flow state that I get into when making something to have to make something in order to make that something…if that makes any sense at all. If not, oh well!

So here are some of the papers I made. Tomorrow, the how to’s.

  1. I have even used some of my grandkids art as backgrounds or segments of cards or other art pieces. Once they made a lot of fingerpaintings which were just play, not masterpieces (I’d never cut something they thought was a complete picture) and I turned them into notecards with some other added elements.

What a great idea! I can see that you come from the same school of thought as me…don’t throw out *anything*! :-)
