That Brooch Is How Much??

I was browsing through one of my favorite fashion websites the other day, looking for a particular piece of jewelry for my other blog, when something caught my eye…
Oh look, it’s a cute little pin that looks like a child sewed it:
Actually, I’ve taught 5 year olds to sew who had neater stitches than that…
And then I took a look at the price.
These brooches retail for $188.00, US funds.
That’s right, pennies worth of fabric and sloppy stitching will run you the cost of a big grocery shop or a good pair of shoes.
I think I’m in the wrong business…

Holy Moly!! You can’t get any uglier or cheaper than that! Why is it that the worse something looks, the higher the price? That includes clothes also. I think they called it distressed… but the only thing distressed is me!
Apparently the Brooch is actually only $2.00 and the Name Brand Tag is $186.00
Serious crime!
Oh. My. Gawd. US$188? We should head over to the daycare center with a few supplies and put the toddlers to work. We could make a fortune!
It amazed me… there are so many wonderful pieces of jewelry out there that it boggles the mind to spend that much on that brooch!
