That Thing Called an Iron

June 27, 2006 by admin

Professional IronOver at The Mommy Files, Amanda decided to save a little money by unpacking her iron and ironing four shirts for her husband. All I can say is that she must have done an amazing job as she devoted an entire 45 minutes to it. I’m lucky if I iron any more than ten minutes at a time. I HATE IRONING!

Tell me I’m not alone! If there is anything that will make me weary… it’s ironing. And oh yes… cooking… and laundry. Okay I will shut up now.

No, you are not alone! That’s what they make they little spray bottle of wrinkle release product for. *smile*

Sorry you got our rains. On the bright side…at least I won’t be listening to the local news harping about drought and water conservation this summer. Take care. Dani

Well, it’s still raining and I would be more than happy to send it back ;) That wrinkle release product you spoke of… I think I need about a litre of the stuff.

    ;)

The only time my iron is on is when I’m quilting, and I don’t enjoy it then, either, but it is a necessary evil of the hobby. I don’t need to be wrinkle-free to be home with the kids all day, and I figure my hubby can use the iron as well as I can if he needs to feel crisp (he doesn’t). And what is the point of getting all the wrinkles out just so you can sit in a car and get wrinkly before you actually get to where people are going to notice? Waste of time, I think! :)
