The Alzheimer’s Mirror Test.

There is a new Alzheimer’s test available. It’s called the Alzheimer’s Mirror test and it uses saliva sample to test for APOE gene which if present is apparently an indicator of increased risk for late-onset Alzheimer’s disease.
Actually, it’s not a new test – researchers have been using this test in clinical trials for over a decade.
But it’s new in that it’s only just been released to the public by a company called Smart Genetics. Company co-founder Julian Awad explains the value of using Alzheimer’s Mirror Test: “”It’s not going to tell you if you have Alzheimer’s disease, if you’re going to get it for sure, but it will tell you what your risk is, which is really important to the individual…”
