The Artistic Spectrum: Lit Café Tonight!

Tonight, Thursday, April 10th, I’m honored to be part of a Lit Café featuring writers on the autism spectrum:
- Amy Gravino, student and author of the forthcoming The Naughty Autie: Not Your (Neuro)typical Dating Guide!, a book about dating and sexuality for adults and young adults on the autism spectrum
- Jason Ross, Adaptations member, poet, and blogger
- Cliff Schumacher, student and blogger
- Leigh Silver, Adaptations member and author of a book on baseball
- Jacob Artson will read via a live feed from LA
Blogger Kim Stagliano is the MC. I’ll be reading something from my slowly-getting-written book about my unexpected adventures on the road with Charlie.
You don’t ‘arf put it about, but ‘ang on a mo’ theres more to art than writing, what about pictorialists?
My favourite autistic artist is Stephen Wiltshire.
My favourite movie maker, is surprisingly not Ridley Scott, or even Sergei Eisenstein, no I am my own favourite movie maker, and you can’t get more concieted than that can you?
Ah, why not indeed…… I need to show my History of Rome class the video of Wiltshire drawing Rome—”performance art” making art…..
A little issue is going on right now about getting one of the participants into the NYC metropolitan area.
I run out of superlatives so far as Mr Wiltshire is concerned. He deserved every bit of his MBE.
