Tonight, Thursday, April 10th, I’m honored to be part of a Lit Café featuring writers on the autism spectrum:

Blogger Kim Stagliano is the MC. I’ll be reading something from my slowly-getting-written book about my unexpected adventures on the road with Charlie.

  1. You don’t ‘arf put it about, but ‘ang on a mo’ theres more to art than writing, what about pictorialists?

My favourite autistic artist is Stephen Wiltshire.

My favourite movie maker, is surprisingly not Ridley Scott, or even Sergei Eisenstein, no I am my own favourite movie maker, and you can’t get more concieted than that can you?

  2. Ah, why not indeed…… I need to show my History of Rome class the video of Wiltshire drawing Rome—”performance art” making art…..

A little issue is going on right now about getting one of the participants into the NYC metropolitan area.

  3. I run out of superlatives so far as Mr Wiltshire is concerned. He deserved every bit of his MBE.

  4. Regan says:

Best wishes on your reading Kristina, and to the other authors as well.

Still can’t get my brain around Kim Stagliano as MC (chalk and cheese), but there it is.

    Have fun.

  5. Marla says:

    Wonderful! Enjoy!

  6. Phil Schwarz says:

With this experience under her belt, maybe Kim can break the news to Jenny McCarthy that there really are autistic adults…

  7. Kassiane says:

*cringes* Kim Scatliano, eh? Is it in poor taste to ask how many detailed poop stories were told, and how many sexual favors were offered?

(what? They come up in EVERY. SINGLE. POST. SHE. MAKES.)

  8. Four autistic adults, two mothers, one autistic boy eating crackers and drinking too much Sprite with a very nice teenager watching him. And more “difference” in the audience—-
