The Biggest Loser Bans Bottled Water & Giveaway

Hey all. Well, the new season of The Biggest Loser is right around the corner on New Year’s Day. This time people will be losing weight in pairs – husbands and wives, best friends, mothers and sons or daughters, etc. One thing they are also introducing this season is a ban on bottled water. The Biggest Loser is trying to be more friendly to the planet, and drinking bottled water creates a huge amount of waste – for instance, last year Americans threw out $1 billion worth of plastic.
The good news is you can start reducing waste at home, too. I’ve got three Brita faucet mounts and three reusable Filter For Good bottles that I’m giving away (I’ll be shipping them after Christmas). I’ll randomly pick three of the commenters on this post to receive them.
In the meantime, you can go to the Filter For Good website and take a pledge to reduce bottled water waste. And if you don’t win an FFG bottle in my giveaway, you can buy one and the proceeds will go to the Blue Planet Run Foundation, a nonprofit organization working to provide 200 million people with a lifetime’s worth of drinking water by 2027.
So leave a comment at the bottom between now and December 27th. It doesn’t matter what you say, but please no duplicate comments, or they will be ignored.
Good luck!
Claire

Great idea. Hope this helps, we need all the help we can get.
Great idea! What a waste all those plastic bottles produce.
We are going to use our Brita water filter and stop buying water
What a wonderful solution! I’m always looking for ways to create a greener world.
I’m totally pumped up about the green bottles, but I can’t seem to get the site to come up where you can buy them. Help!!! This year is looking really good.
I think this is a great idea to help the environment
I already use a Brita filter and really enjoy the taste of the water. Don’t need the filters. I was looking for the water carrier.
Have a wonderful 2008!

I have a Brita Filter pitcher in my refrigerator, I love the taste of the water. Jeanne
I would realy love to win one Thanks
Finally someone who feels the way I do about our earth & the waste in the land fills. Way to go.
That’s a great idea. I know my mother (I’m 13) and I use a case of water (24 bottles) of water a week. We recycle though, but I think the filters and bottles would help save us money and the planet. Again, great idea!
Hey guys! Thanks for all your great comments. I have already chosen the winners and to those of you who won, your bottles and filters are in the mail.

how do i get the green water bottle
I watched the first episode of Biggest Loser and it inspired me so much that, I signed up to do the Nation shape up. I really get a lot of inspiration from everyone on these shows. Plus. I started drinking 8-10 glasses of water a day and I can already see a difference.
It beats having to go snd fill up 5 gallon containers that take space.
We take too much for granted thanks for making me aware of what I can do to eliminate adding to already full land fills. The stats mentioned on Biggest Loser were EYE OPENING!
Hi,
I was wondering how to order the going green bottle? Please send me any information.
Thank you,
