The Brain of an Alzheimer’s Patient.

Okay, this might seem a little morbid, but if you are interested in seeing what the brain of an Alzheimer’s patient looks like, then head over to Wired Science. They have a short film – The Brain of an Alzheimer’s Patient – that looks at the post-mortum dissection of an Alzheimer’s riddled brain.

It wes filmed at the Sun Health Research Institute which maintains a biobank of over a thousand donated brains that can be used to help research cures for debilitating illnesses such as Alzheimer’s Disease.

Dr. Marwan Sabbagh, one of the lead researchers at the Institute, is also author of the book The Alzheimer’s Answer, a complete guide to the latest information on preventing and slowing the progress of Alzheimer’s.

  1. Wow, that was educational and interesting.

Of course, I know what he meant when he said that it was the part of the brain that affects personality, etc., but I had to giggle to myself when I thought about some of the Alzheimer’s patients I’ve met and how they definitely weren’t lacking personality, haha. But again, I know what he really meant by it.

How true…Alzheimer’s patients usually aren’t lacking in personality.

    It was a great video
