Our first ‘call’ came when my husband was away at a conference. I called the hotel, the conference organizers, had them post a message, sent him email, and pretty much sounded like a nutcase I’m sure. To say I was excited was a serious understatement. He didn’t get back to me for 2 hours – I could have killed him!
Our second ‘call’ came while we were visiting my parents for Christmas. The day after Epiphany we got the call, yelled “Another boy!” and danced around my parents’ kitchen, much to the confusion of son #1, who was 15 months at the time and had no idea what we were getting on about. Our social worker laughed because there was a chorus of ‘Hoorays’ from about 6 people at our end of the phone.
