The CFS Distraction

Yesterday, a comment on this post, inspired me to create an online book club for people with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (or any chronic illness). Since there was a bit of interest, I just went ahead and did it. You can find it on Facebook. Its called the Consummate Fiction Society (aka CFS).
Right now, membership is by invitation only, and I have invited the CFS Squared readers that are friends on my Facebook account. If you would like to join in, just send me an email (or a comment on this blog)- and I would be happy to send you an invitation.
Details have not been finalized, I am waiting for people to join before I settle any of that. So if you have an opinion of when to start, what day we should meet, in what kind of forum, and what we should read - please let me know.
I know that there are more than a few of you, who are great readers. I would love it if you joined in.
The way I see it, the more the merrier.
Its also a really good way to get to know each other, outside of this forum. It could be considered as another form of support….and a little bit of fun. And I know we all need that.

I’d like to come along. I think I’ve signed up with facebook, but (surprise, surprise) I can’t remember. If I have, it will be as rocalisa. I can’t promise to manage to join in with reads as I’m in some other book groups already, but I’d like to have the option to try.
Kerry,
I couldn’t find you on Facebook. I sent you an invitation via email.
I would love it if you would join in when you are able , but its ok if you decide not to. I understand what its like to have stuff going on. So no pressure.
I think the start date will be some time in January…so we have plenty of time, to hammer out the details.
Once you are all set up in Facebook, you can add me ( Laura Bzowy) and I will send you the invite to the group.
Hi Laura,
I’d love to join the book group if possible, I know you’ve got great taste in reading materials so it should be good. I’m on Facebook under my whole name, Abigail Coe, there are a couple of them, but I’ve got short hair and glasses if that helps!
Thanks, Abi.
alright kerry and abi,
I think I added you to my facebook friends-not terribly certain so maybe you can look. If I made a mistake and added the wrong people you can add me - I am on facebook as Laura Bzowy-and I am pretty sure I am the only one. In any case the group is called Consummate Fiction Society.
I’d love to join, but my Facebook is not anonymous, like my blog is. Oh, well… thanks anyways!
NTE,
I can understand wanting to stay anonymous. If you ever change your mind, we would love for you to join in.
