The Cherry Tomatoes Are In

Some of them, anyway! We planted one Sweet 100 tomato plant in our little container garden in March, and the beautiful little green orbs are just starting to turn red.
During watering on Saturday we spotted two fully-red tomatoes and decided it was time to try them out. My husband and I each had one and wow, were they amazing. We both really love tomatoes anyway, but these were sweet, juicy and firm — absolutely perfect, and so tiny!

Tiny little tomatoes!
This morning when I went out to water I saw three more and picked them for my daughters to try, who all loved them as well. I’m thinking we definitely need to plant a few more of these next season.
When we first planted and I read reviews about it, I worried that we might have too many once the plant started to mature and I looked for recipes online that included cherry tomatoes.
There are still quite a few I want to try (like baked mozzarella tomatoes, zucchini and cherry tomatoes, and of course, lots of salads!) but I suspect that most of the fruit won’t make it past the sink for rinsing, much less into a pan!

Tomatoes are my favorites!!!! So jealous
