The Common Cold as a Cause of Alzheimer’s Mentioned at Flu Patrol

Grace, in her b5media blog, Flu Patrol (www.flupatrol.com) mentioned in a recent post that research indicates the family of viruses causing the common cold may cause Alzheimer’s in old age.  This comes from a study at the Mayo Clinic.

This group of viruses is called picornaviruses.  This memory loss can occur decades after a person is affected.
