We purchased two elfa freestanding units last July for our office. They are wonderful, well worth the investment. After we put them up, we had to rearrange a few of the shelves, and the Container Store was great about exchanging the shelves for us.
The closest container store is 2 hours away. I saw the creators of the Container Store on Oprah yesterday.

@Amy – I missed it! I watched the Cold Stone Creamery people but then had to leave the house. Life has been absolutely crazy these past few days. I keep asking my husband if my head is still attached to my body.
I’m letting a few things go that are on my plate so that I can slow down and enjoy life, oh and blog. Thanks for asking.
HAD RESERVATIONS IN PAST FROM BUYING FROM CONTAINER STORE (DUE TO PRICE).
BUT AFTER REALIZING THE QUALITY WAS SUPERB (COMPARED TO ALL OTHER PLACES), DECIDED TO SEE IT AS AN INVESTMENT & GO AHEAD & PURCHASE SHELVES FOR EVERY WALL IN BEDROOMS (HELPED TO BUY WHEN ON SALE ALSO….RIGHT NOW THEY OFFER 30% OFF!!
AFTER PUTTING UP SHELVES ON EVERY WALL IN EVERY ROOM (WHICH CAN BE CONVERTED FROM A BOOKCASE, TO VANITY, TO ENTERTAINMENT CENTER, TO..YOU NAME IT, AM EXTREMELY PLEASED WITH INVESTMENT.
IT WAS WELL-WORTH FINALLY FEELING “ORGANIZED”, HAVING A “PLACE FOR EVERYTHING & EVERYTHING IN IT’S PLACE!”.
VERY HAPPY WITH CONTAINER STORE’S PROFESSIONISM, KINDNESS OF ALL WORKERS, ENTHUSIASM TO HELP FROM BEGINNING TO FINISH. THEY THINK NOTHING OF HAVING SOMEONE RETURN ANY ITEM..IT IS NO PROBLEM.
THEY ARE THERE TO “SERVE” YOU, TO HELP MAKE YOUR LIFE BETTER.
IT’S A VERY INSPIRING STORE TO GO INTO!!
EVERY CONTAINER STORE IS AS GOOD AS THE NEXT..WONDERFUL SALESPEOPLE THAT REALLY WANT TO HELP & TAKE PLEASURE IN HELP MAKING YOUR LIFE MORE LIVEABLE/ORGANIZED.
