Retired Waif hosts Disability Blog Carnival #18 all while timing her contractions. Writes Retired Waif by means of introduction to a Blog Carnival of (as I quote her) “awesome” delights:
…..this edition of the Disability Blog Carnival is designed to explain the the untutored able-bodied type that there’s nothing abnormal about us… we’re just like them! Please do accept my tongue-in-cheek parody and sweeping generalization in the spirit it’s meant, and don’t allow my irreverence to detract from some of the awesome, wonderful writing to be found in…
I’ll point out Melly vs. Stomach on Shopping at Whole Paycheck (aka the food emporium that Charlie loves to dine at and that does have a way of gobbling up my ATM card, in a figurative sense); Simi Linton’s Disability Culture Watch blog on the Crutchmaster; Timothy Griffin on categories of annoying friends; and a section on autism bloggers (Autism Vox gets a kindly mention for my post To Your Health, which title I am much appreciating as Jim and I are finally recovered from a bout of stomach flu caught from our little-big guy).
Disability Blog Carnival #18 was posted yesterday, July 12th, and I am hoping that there is a new arrival!!!! in the world now.
