This past weekend, most of my family was sick, including me. I wanted to make a pot of Chicken Soup, but I honestly could not stand up for very long. I figured that I would take my chances with a simple Crockpot soup method and it turned out great.

Crockpot from Target Michelle smMy family all has different tastes when it comes to Chicken Soup, so I made a batch of rice, thinking that Sarah and I could add it to ours and Bay could skip it. I also added hot sauce to mine, because I like a bit of heat.

Simple Soup – Chicken In a Crockpot

*1 onion, diced
*3 stalks, diced
*2 large carrots, chopped into small rounds
*3 chicken breasts, boneless, or equal amount other chicken parts
*1 bay leaf
*1 tsp granulated garlic
*1 tsp salt
*1/2 tsp ground pepper
*6 cups water
1) Put all ingredients into the crockpot in the order listed.
2) Set crockpot to high. Cook for 5 hours.
3) Remove chicken from pot. Dice, then return to the pot.
