The Fake Friday Challenge Winners Are….

Heather from Chocolate Bytes and Nancy from Nancy’s Baby Names!!! Yeah. Show them some winner love and pay a visit to their amazing blogs! Baby names and chocolate, unless you’re talking offbeat houses it doesn’t get much better than that.
So, number 3 was the only fake in the bunch.

The loony number 3 was actually from one of the advanced photoshop contests at Worth 1000. Worth 1000 has all kinds of cool photoshop contests (Bizarrchitecture being the best of course) but they also have a funny stuff like, “Meet the Beatles,” and “Celebrity Mix-Ups.”

Here are two more fakes I really enjoyed. Oh, and most of the photos have captions by the artist — this one’s is “First I build it, then I eat it.”

And a beach condo…

Number 1 and 2, were simply completely random oddball homes I’ve had laying around. Both of them are real though; they came from reputable sources. (promise).

#4, the tin and colored home is a beach house near Sheboygan, WI. A fellow named Ernest F. Mross, Ph.D took the photo and did a brilliant job I’d say.

#5, the Shoe House, is located 4 miles east of York, PA. You can visit and take a tour.

#6 is my favorite. It’s from an oddball company in London who makes what they call, The Orb. From their site:

“The Orb™ is a new generation of mobile structures created specifically to fire the imagination of a younger, style conscious generation.

It has been designed to appeal across three distinct markets: commercial show units, holiday park homes and adaptable home offices.

Built to a standard far beyond that of comparable structures using marine technology, it is both incredibly durable, lightweight and transportable.”

That is one wacky home office. They have so many it’s hard to pick the weirdest.

Besides a home office you can use The Orb as a retreat.

Interior holiday home:

It is neat. But if I had one as my home office even more people than usual would bug me as I work, wanting to “see my cool digs.” You can visit The Orb’s site to see way more designs or place an order.

Would you take a holiday in an Orb? Keep in mind that they transport, so vacations every which where are not out of the question.

[A huge thanks to the Worth 1000 team for allowing me to share their pictures!]
