The Fastest Way To Find Your Email In My Delete Box

September 22, 2006 by admin

“If you don’t forward this email I’ll know are ashamed of Jesus”

“If you don’t reply then you aren’t my friend”

“Don’t break this chain or none of us will get our money from Microsoft

“Forward this email so the dying kid can collect his postcards”

“Stop buying gas at _____ because they are evil”

“If you don’t forward this email then you don’t support our troops”

“Put your address in this email and forward it so the President will know how we feel.” – Are y’all freaking nuts?  Who does this one??? I don’t want my address passed around anymore than it already is!!!

Oh, and by the way, there is actually a way to copy/paste a forwarded email into a new email so that all your friends’ (and their friends’) emails don’t come to me.  And, if i have to actually open a new email to read the attached forwarded email, it’s also going to get deleted, even if it is to help you find that missing girl.

these are all automatic for me too. I hate having to open an e-mail, then another attachment just to get the the message. Bull!

Amen, sister!! I cannot stand these emails that try to guilt you into passing them on. And do people not read snopes.com? I don’t understand why some people think they are really going to get money from Victoria’s Secret or Microsoft, just for passing on an email. Another tip: Learn to use the “BCC” option on your email so that other people’s email addresses aren’t forwarded on to hundreds of others. It’s really weird when you get a response to an email from a stranger. And I love Jesus, but He wouldn’t want me to feel guilted into forwarding an email. If I want to send on an email, then I delete these “stipulations” before sending it out. I don’t want others to be burdened. Wow, you got me ranting today!

What amazes me is that we all agree on this, but those coocoos are coming from somewhere. It’s like they just started using the internet or something. Geesh!

  4. Lynn says:

Hear, Hear!! And to add to the list, we don’t need 100 more ways to use coca-cola or the latest urban legend.

Great blog! Keep up the good work!

  5. Kailani says:

Or how about the ones that just come out and ask you for money? Uh, okay, sure.

  6. robyn says:

Yeah, please kindly respond to my urgent business request. I want to give you 8M dollars but I cannot w/o your bank acct info… Ha ha.

  7. Yes, those emails can be very annoying. But, I try to remember that some people are new to the Internet and don’t know better… so I try to politely let them know that they shouldn’t send those types of emails.
