The First Solar Speedboat

Though there have already been boats which run using solar power, there hasn’t been a boat built that uses solar power and could really speed through the water that quick. Well, not one boat like that before. But we now have got the Czeers MK1.

The Czeers MK1 is the very first water vehicle that uses solar power that can really go speeding on the water. In fact, those who have watched the speedboat go has been able to clock in 30 knots tops. This vehicle measures 10 meters and the Delft Technical University’s Solarboat Team were the people behind the creation of this vehicle which has etched its name in the milestone of water vehicles. The Czeers MK1 first showed off its prowess during the 2006 Nuon Frisian Solar challenge where it actually took the first spot. If that isn’t an achievement of speed and technology and solar power, then I surely would not know what is.
