The Cause of the Causecast

September 12, 2008 by Kristina Chew, PhD

Coming your way………Causecast, “a powerful online social medium that connects nonprofits, leaders, brands and individuals to those who want to make a positive impact on the world,” according to a press release. Already a Featured Leader is Generation Rescue board member Jenny McCarthy who has “long been a vigilant fighter in the search for a cure for autism”: A year or so is a “long” time?—sorry, being a teacher and translator of Latin and ancient Greek who is married to an American historian, I have a slightly different definition of “long.”

I do know, I’m in it for the long run with Charlie, and autism.

“long been a vigilant fighter in the search for a cure for autism”? Seriously? Did someone check their respective dates?

Wow. Even for someone who isn’t particularly a historian, she hasn’t been around a very long time.

I mean, that nearly makes me a long-time advocate, which is bizarre because I’m just… not.

Ick, is she still making headlines? What is up with people? It’s just weird that people would look upon her with so much admiration and trust. What has she really done? I have read some bloggers (and I won’t name names, cough cough) who have inspired me with their thoughts and writings more than that woman! It’s the sheep mentality, follow the herd, they must know what they’re doing. Kinda like McCain followers….oops, I didn’t say that….

  3. ….oops cough…….. overheard on the PATH train tonight about the presidential race: “The stars are aligned.” (I had to keep my mouth shut) (cough cough)

  4. Kyla Sai says:

What did she do? She cured her child of autism.

  5. From some coverage during the “Green Our Vaccines” in June, McCarthy’s son was said still to have autism.
