The grapefruit of our youth

grapefruit.jpgThough I’m not sure what this has to do with anything, I just felt compelled to share this with you.

A study from Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago found that The Smell of Grapefruit Helps Women Look Younger:

There’s a lot of prejudice against older people in our society, says researcher Alan B. Hirsch, neurological director of the Smell & Taste Treatment and Research Foundation in Chicago. “A lot of it is related to how we look and how we talk. So we looked at the concept of smell.

“In the presence of the smell of pink grapefruit, women appear to be six years younger than their real age,” says Hirsch.

Just sayin’ in case you want to update your list of Valentine’s Day gifts.

Man I hope so, as I’ve been using Grapefruit salt scrub for a few weeks now. I sure don’t feel younger, but it does smell yummy.

what’s cool is that on sephora.com you can search for fragrances that have grapefruit in the scent (my personal faves are Dior Addict 2 & YSL Baby Doll) :D

  3. Michelle says:

So I wonder if I used a couple of grapefruit products the effect would add up and I could end up looking 21 again?

  4. How come grapefruit ranks, but children’s strawberry body wash and strawberry toothpaste don’t?

  5. I love the smell and the taste of Grapefruit, in fact its one of the most healthy fruits around
