Travel to Japan and you’ll get to see a solar celphone. I’d call it a solar mobile phone for it makes use of solar energy as source of its juice. Named the Strap-Ya, the mobile phone comes with a wrist strap which has the responsibility of taking the power from the sun and converting it into usable energy.
The wrist strap has solar panels in it. But the strap has been made to be fashionable so much so that you still feel “in” while using the Strap-Ya. And yes, you would not have to worry much about your mobile phone losing juice for as long as the sun is shining, your Strap-Ya mobile phone continues to live.
A tech writer mentioned, “I’ve seen few practical solar designs for recharging phones, however, this latest product from Strap-Ya may be something worth looking into.” And this just looks like the Strap-Ya mobile phone has caught the attention of those who love going green.
