The Love Dare

I was out doing some shopping yesterday and I saw the Familt Christian Books has a whole display of study materials based on the movie, Fireproof.  I looked through it a little and it looked good.

There is a program for group study, as in a Sunday school, and then there was a book called, The Love Dare, which is basically just for one spouse, or both, to do to find a deeper relationship.

If you are looking for a devotional that will help you with increasing the romance and intimacy of your marriage this is a great one.  Once again, however, you are looking at a book that assumes the wife is not as interested in sex as the husband.

All in all it seems to have some good, basic ideas if you don’ t know exactly where to start to rekindle romance.  It isn’t all about sex, romance, etc. though..it has some very practical spiritual and emotional applications such as being more patient, preparing a special dinner for your spouse, etc.

I have only browsed the book, not read it, so I can’t tell you much more than that.  The reviews were all excellent.  Give it a shot.  2009 could be the best year ever for you and your spouse.
