The Quilt of Belonging

July 16, 2007 by Chloe Findlay-Harder

Normally I try and not post about quilts too much, after all, we’ve got a wonderful quilt blogger – Mary Emma, over at Quilting & Patchwork, but I had to share this with you all:

That photo is of the “Quilt of Belonging”, a massive tapestry measuring 120 feet long and 10 feet high! It was created to celebrate diversity among the different peoples of Canada, and is currently on tour.

Unfortunately – it’s not coming to my home town!

To see more photos, learn about the quilt, or even view each individual block, click here.

  1. Not a quilter here, but you definitely grabbed my attention. Going to check out the link now. My sister is a huge fan of quilts and I just might have found this first… thanks to you. :)

  2. Thanks for calling this to our attention…and for referring to my blog. What an interesting quilt! I, too, will check out the link and mention your post to my readers.
