The Realities of Fatherhood
It’s so refreshing to see a father taking such an active roll in the life of his infant. There just aren’t too many men that know enough about their own child to even contemplating the following:
Do you spend the next 30 minutes trying to get her to get through the next two ounces and gain 1 to 2 hours before the next feeding? Or do you just lay her down and plan on coming back after a shorter sleep? more…
Do you think, just maybe, if more teen boys knew the real consequences of having a baby, that more would actually wait until they were mature enough to ask this kind of question?
Personally, I believe Be A Good Dad should be required reading in all Family Planning classes.

Doesn’t he write a wonderful blog? I wish my husband would read it as often as I do.
Thanks for the nice thoughts Gayla and Kate. Hopefully someday I’ll actually start to know the answer to some of these questions. Last night I got rid of the little bottle before I went to bed. She woke up earlier for each feeding but that meant that I got a real little nap between the 4am feeding and when I woke up. I’m thinking that might be the way to go for a little while. I hate finishing feeding at 5:30am and knowing that I have to wake up and start my day 30 minutes later.
