The roving vegetarian in Ulm

Greetings from the road! I’m currently in Munich, Germany, hiding out from the freezing sideways rain in my hotel room (which luckily offers free wireless). I’ll basically be traveling for most of the coming two months.
A couple days ago I was in Ulm, where we braved the freezing sideways rain and went out for dinner at a cozy, traditional restaurant called Zunfthaus der Schiffleute. We chose this place in particular because the guidebook said it had a lot of vegetarian options. There were three dishes listed in the vegetarian section of the menu, two of which involved both spinach and gorgonzola. I went for the third option, which contained spinach but not gorgonzola (good thing I love spinach). It had a long fancy German name, but when the dish came it was basically spinach and cheese ravioli with butter and parmesan on top. Definitely not a very exciting meal, but the great (smoke-free!) ambiance and friendly service made up for it, making it a fun evening anyway (well, at least until it was time to head back out in the freezing sideways rain).

It’s too bad the weather is so awful, but the meal looks great.
Hi—Jul:
Your trip sounds divine. I would love to visit Germany, not to mention travel for 2 months. Have loads of fun, and its cool your writing about it here, so we can all visit, too.
Btw: I fixed your link on my blog, i’m glad you pointed it out, i didn’t realize it was bad. Thx! Could you add me to your list as well? Let me know.
Missy.
