The Subconscious

There are certain things inside my head that I initially wanted to write in this post but decided against it since I know I’m not allowed to divulge anymore than I have to so I guess I’m sticking to talking about the subconscious and how it surfaces (sometimes) and affects our actions. I’m in no way an expert on this field though I know bits of information that can help me come up with a theory.

Let me share you a quick example, a chat conversation that transpired earlier with a friend.

ME: [pastes a link to HIS post]
ME: Awww
HIM: Haha
HIM: When I saw you linking to that post I thought “wtf? I have a post about her?”
ME: Wushu probably was your subconscious blogging
HIM: Crazy
ME: Am I?
HIM: Maybe
ME: Or maybe not. Ha.
HIM: Hehe
HIM: You tell me.
ME: I don’t need to
HIM: Okay this isn’t making sense anymore
[Changes the subject]

When I did see the post I automatically deducted that he had the girl in mind even when there was nothing written about her. There was just this one telling element, which brought me to that ‘assumption’. Then using the conversation above, I was able to acquire a telling sign. There was doubt. That my bringing the post to his attention caused him to the same assumption. Then, as you can see, once called out, the other party proceeded to consciously take a defensive stance.

All I’m trying to say is that there will be times when you will unconsciously do something that will indicate a hidden emotion. You may claim you can hide the fact that you like a person (or don’t care about the person as the case may be) but you’re subconscious will, at one time or another, guide your actions or thoughts to expressing this emotion.

I’m not just talking about the initial stages of attraction, ok. It happens in all sorts of relationships. This is even present in the most common of situations.

Anyway, I only hope to share this sort of understanding to you guys. It’s something I learned a long time ago (both in school and in experience, btw) which helped me make sense of things and deal with them accordingly.
