According to a new report I came across a couple of days ago, a group of scientists have been able to develop a possible cure to global warming. It is actually a process which would help lessen the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. The scientists hail from Harvard University and Penn State University. They said that the process would help decrease carbon dioxide in the atmosphere in “a matter of decades rather than millennia”.
According to the report: “The process relies on speeding up a process that happens naturally, whereby carbon dioxide dissolved in sea water breaks down volcanic rock and soils to make alkaline carbonic salts.”
Kurt House is a graduate student from Harvard University and on the process developed, he shares, “The technology involves selectively removing acid from the ocean in a way that might enable us to turn back the clock on global warming.”
I hope this works for we sure do need all the help we can get with global warming.
