There’s a museum for everything…

vegmuseumWell, this one is a virtual museum, but that just makes it easier to visit. The Vegetarian Museum is a site offering some colorful ‘exhibits’ about the history of vegetarianism in the US.

The essay about the Christian Roots of Vegetarianism was interesting, if only because Christianity is probably the last religion I would associate with vegetarianism. I also enjoyed the articles about vegetarian activists in previous centuries, such as this woman.

Even though the Vegetarian Museum website is still obviously a work in progress, I think it was worth the visit. Like any good museum, it managed to educate me without boring me to death. Even if I don’t agree with some of the museum’s agenda, at least it made me think.
