They Call Them the Dirty Dozen

The Dirty Dozen is the list of a dozen of fruits and vegetables that the Environmental Working Group suggests you purchase organic because of the pesticide levels.

The highest pesticide levels

Peaches
Apples
Sweet bell peppers
Celery
Nectarines
Strawberries
Cherries
Lettuce
Grapes (imported)
Pears
Spinach
Potatoes

The lowest and cleanest 12:

Onions
Avocadoes
Sweet corn (frozen)
Pineapples
Mangoes
Sweet peas (frozen)
Asparagus
Kiwis
Bananas
Cabbage
Broccoli
Eggplant
