This Small Plastic Village

It is amazing to think that people really are resourceful. And one of the best examples of this would be Herman Pearman, a resident of Heritage Hall in Roanoke who is currently 88 years old. What Pearman did was that he built his own small plastic village using those drinking straws that usually litter the dump.
Around a year ago, he started out creating his straw village. He started out first by collecting all the drinking straws from his meal trays. Then little by little he would create a little part of his village patiently and he would make them stick together by using pins.
He was able to create a log house which is actually his dream home. His family brought him more straws and he created a doghouse with a dog and a cat, an outhouse, a swing set, a traffic light, plus a straw church.
Mind you, I myself wouldn’t have thought of creating such.
