Three myths of compatibility

Mark Thompson has an article listed on Yahoo that focuses on three myths of compatibility.
The myths he mentions are:
Myth #1: Similar people are more compatible
Myth #2: Compatible couples enjoy each other’s company and don’t fight
Myth #3: You can tell within the first few dates if your date is compatible.
Personally I believe that similar people are more compatible. The more differences there are, the more boundaries there are to cross, rules there are to set and more room for distance to grow between the couple.
On myth 2 – I do agree with him on the point that All couples fight. It doesn’t matter how much in love they are, how much alike they are or how hard they try to avoid disagreements, fights just happen.
Myth 3 – I have to disagree with him on that one. I’ve often known within the first few minutes of a date whether there was going to be a second date – of course there are those surprise times that come back to get you – and result in a second date where you thought differently - but those are rare.
