		<description>I, too, come from an Italian background.  And Fenuke was a staple at all holiday meals!  It was well into my adulthood that I knew it was fennel.  I still come across foods in restaurants that I ate as a kid, and I&#039;m always surprised to see how they are spelled vs. how my family pronounced them.  It&#039;s sad when the old folks pass away.  My Nani died many years ago - my kids never got to know her.  Somewhere there&#039;s a huge Italian feast going on with all those Nani&#039;s!!!!</description>
