Thrify Fabric Flowers

April 26, 2009 by Chloe Findlay-Harder

Are you tired of spending $$$ for those little fabric flowers in the scrapbooking section from the big craft stores?

Giddy Greetings had to make 200 wedding favors, using fabric flowers, when she got a thrify and clever idea:

Isn’t that a great way to save money in your craft budget?  In fact, my local dollar store has big bunches of flowers for just a dollar or two – that’s a lot better than $10 for a jar of petals!

I have, on occassion, seen a bag of flowers for sale that looks like they swept the floor in the floral aisle and put them in a bag. You get lots of variety that way. I think it was in the fabric remnant section. Sometimes you can get some neat trims to use too.

  2. Very thrifty idea! When you need a lot of flowers, it can add up in a hurry! So this would definitely help stretch your budget if you need a lot of flowers to decorate with.

    Thanks for the nice idea!
