Thursday 13 – Floral Quilt Patterns

I’ve discussed previously, in Floral Designs in Arts and Crafts, and explored various ways and places you could use them.  Quilts, over the ages, have reflected many floral designs with numerous patterns named for flowers.

Here’s a collection of thirteen:

  1. Bud and Rose Wreath
  2. Cactus Flower
  3. Flowers in a Pot
  4. Wild Rose Wreath
  5. Rose of Sharon
  6. Rose Petal
  7. Star Flower
  8. Peony
  9. Prairie Flower
  10. Kansas Sunflower
  11. Mexican Rose
  12. Triple Sunflower
  13. Tulip

Do you have any favorite floral patterns you’ve made as a quilt or other craft?

I am looking for a peony pattern, a friend of mine cut out a quilt 20 years ago, the pattern was called Peony, and she can’t find the pattern, but has all the pieces cut out., but would love to have another pattern, to finish it, She said it looks a bit like a maple leaf, can anyone help? Thanks, Carolyn
