Here’s a quick quiz for you…13 quilting terms.  Are there any you don’t know?

  8. Embellishment
  9. Felting
  10. Stitch in the Ditch
  11. Grandmother’s Garden

  13. Batik

Of course, there are many, many other quilting and fabric terms.  However, it’s interesting to see how much we know when we see various words and ideas used in this art field.

What are some you’d add to a list you’d make?  Were there any you didn’t know here?

    Slowly, over the last 10-11 years of quilting, I’ve learned those terms. And can almost use them as well as a computer lingo when I’m quilting. Still loads to learn, everyday something new I find online. I think I’d add “Sashing” to the list. Something I hear and went “huh?” when I first heard the word. Not only does sashing make a quilt bigger, but it sure made a big improvement in how my nine-patch looks!
