Thursday Thirteen – 13 Sewing/Fabric Projects for Kids

Tying in with the earlier post, “Built It” with Fabric & Stitches, about youngsters learning reading through sewing, I’m listing 13 projects they might consider making or that an adult will supervise.

These might be sewn by hand or with the aid of a sewing machine, depending on the age of the child.  They could be very simple or require complex directions.

  1.  Bean bags
  2.  Pin cushion
  3. Potholders
  4. Drawstring Apron
  5. Pillow cases
  6. Doll’s or mini quilt
  7. Doll clothes
  8. Fabric art wall hanging
  9. Tote bag
  10. Placemats
  11. Clothing
  12. Full size quilt
  13. Fabric postcards

What have the youngsters in your life been sewing?
