Tidy Tuesday – Under the Beds

I’m heading up to clean under the beds. This isn’t a light dust bunny attack. It is an all out clutter and dust war and the result will be gleaming floors and tidy storage boxes.

I begin by gathering a vacuum, a duster, an empty container and a trash bag. I pull everything out from under the bed, strip off the covers, and, if the room is big enough, I move the bed completely to another spot. If not, I try to shift it at least part of the bed over. Then, I vacuum up any dust bunnies that have managed to evade my normal cleaning efforts and dust  the floor. When I’m done, I move the bed back into place.

Next, I check all the under the bed bins. Sometimes, they can go right back. Other times, I discover that they are filled with things that should go to the thrift store. Once I reorganize everything, I return the remaining bins to their spots and remake the bed with fresh linens.
