Tip of the Day #29

I heard this tip from Vern whose in my small group. (I’ve warned all my friends that I will eventually blog about them. :) )

He was telling us that after his mother passed away, that they were going through her items and found a whole box of birthday cards. What’s unique about that you ask? Well, all the cards were already addressed, signed by her and in monthly order. So, when someone had a birthday coming up, all she had to do was go to her box of cards, write a little personal note, add a stamp and mail it. What a great idea!

We have come so far from personal notes these days haven’t we? I love it when I receive a card or letter in the mail. It always catches my attention. Maybe if I try this system I might actually get cards in the mail. Now that would be nice!

I’ve heard of people organized enough that they have their cards all ready. I only wish I could get there myself, instead of making a mad dash to the store when it’s someone’s special day. I think it’s a great idea.
    Great blog too!

Hey Chris. Yeah, I’m not there either. I think it would really help me though if I did it this way. I think my friends and family might fall over if they got a card on time from me. That’s one of my major weaknesses. Email is evil sometimes. :)

Glad you like my blog. I sure have fun with it!

In case someone reads these for ideas. Buy a box of assorted cards, for all occasions. So you have them on hand. And update your address book, just in case you might need it.
