Geoff:I have a very good friend that spells his name like yours. You're only the second "geoff" that I've seen. :)

Color coordinated labels is an excellent idea! That would definitely save a lot of money, yet it would still be easy to tell the boxes apart.

I also love the label for content idea. I might just have to steal both of those!! :)

Marye: Wow that's a lot of boxes! That sounds like a really good system.

There is a lady here where I live that starts in October putting up her Christmas decorations. She has a ginormous house and puts a tree in every room. She also decorates the outside big time.

I'm not doing much decorating this year since we won't even be here for Christmas. It actually sounds kind of nice to cut back this year.

Hi, great idea, but to save money buying new containers - how about just using colour-coded labels? We also have loads of boxes of different coloured Christmas stuff - only some of which gets used each year. Hmmm, I'm thinking two labels now - one for season and one for content!

That is a good idea...What I do, is to number them and then keep a master list of what is in each numbered bin. We have over 15 bins of just Christmas stuff and it takes 2 weeks to put up, so it is important to me to be able to get hte bins down one or two at a time.
Color coordinating is a great idea that would make it even easier to find the stuff.
