When my son was rebellish like his mom, lol, he asked to take a pair of my scissors outside of course i said no,not just because i cared of my scissors but for his safety. Well he took a pair anyways, didnt find out later til he walked in and handed them to me, it was one of my new pinking shears, dont know what they cost now, but then i paid $40.@ i had the reg pinking and scallopped. He dropped a pair outside on concrete and broke the tips off. And another thing hide your scissors from your men, i dont care how much you love them (the men) they will use your good scissors for something stupid and tear them up. My finacee has been firmly threatened not to use any in our bedroom/sewing room. ONly use pair in kitchen drawer. heehee yes we have to power. hugs lish I am very strict with my scissors. We had a friend who is a master carver do our Thanksgiving turkey last year. He brought his own knives and told us our (expensive) Henckels had totally lost their edges and were practically beyond repair.
