“To The Well-Organized Mind, Death Is But The Next Great Adventure.”

Nice thought, Albus, but, yeah screw that! my mind’s not all that organized just yet.

Currently, I am 26 years old and most everyone in my family has lived beyond the age of 90.

I always thought I’d have to be tricked into the grave, too.

However, according to the Blue Zones Vitality Compass quiz, my mental health issues (including depression, anxiety, stress, and anger) as well as a few poor physical health issues (um…smoking and lack of regular exercise) mean I’m actually 30 years old and I’m going to die when I’m 69.

Yeah, screw that! That is just not acceptable. I must get my brain in check, quit smoking, and jump a jack every now and then for Pete’s sake.

If you want to know your biological age, life expectancy, healthy life expectancy, and Blue Zone years, take the quiz. Remember, no one can really predict any of this, but the well-rounded batch of questions (which are a decent mix of mental and physical health inquiries) can help give you an idea of the path you’re following.

You may also want to take the Healthbolt Challenge and share your good (or, in my case, bad) news with Liz and Liberty.

So, what changes do you need to make?

Alicia

Hey Alicia. At least you are honest about any shortcomings and can now address them going forth. The lesson learned from the Vitality Compass quiz is a real wake up call - even for the healthiest of us. ;)

    Thanks for taking the challenge!!

  2. No, thank YOU! Ever since I took that quiz, I’ve been almost sick to my stomach each time I’ve thought about smoking. Sure, it’s only been something like a bit over 24 hours (and I haven’t actually quit), but guilt is not something I do well with. So, if I keep this up (the guilt) and then sprinkle in a little self control and add some goals, this could turn out wonderfully!
