If you’re staying somewhere that you have a little kitchenette, here’s a way to stretch your food budget – Toastabags.
Basically, this is a thick plastic bag with little handles that is designed to go into the toaster. It allows you to cook things inside a toaster.
You can use it to warm up pizza, left overs, make a toasted cheese sandwich, or, with a little practice, scramble up some eggs. All you have to do is put some ingredients into a bag, place the bag into the toaster, press it down, and wait for it to pop up all warm and toasty. Okay, it may take a couple of cycles in the toaster to get it just the way you like, but there’s lots of creative ways to have an inexpensive, yet filling meal.
The bags wipe clean, and can be reused about 50 times. They are sold in packages of four for around $10. You can find them online at firebox.com.
