eight ball pool billiards(www.livelywomen.com) — You may think you know eveyrthing there is to know about being healthy — or lively, if you prefer — but here are eight health mistakes you may not even realize are no-nos, courtesy of the Guide to Women’s Health at About.com, Tracee Conforth.

  1. Wearing nylon panties, tight-fitting jeans, pantyhose without a cotton panel, or other garments that restrict airflow and hold in heat and moisture.
  2. Seeing your gynecologist for a Pap smear every few years and performing monthly breast self-exams.
  3. Having unprotected sex, even once.
  4. Slacking off on calcium.
  5. Smoking.
  6. Failing to exercise regularly (and no, having a gym membership doesn’t count if you don’t use it).
  7. Overeating, or eating too much fast food or other restaurant meals.
  8. Never taking a break.

Read Tracee’s great article to find out why these are such important health oversights.

  1. Eight health mistakes! Never heard it put that way before. I thought health was good. Another thing to worry about now!

  2. I wonder why they want to wear the nylon panties…

    @Drunken Blogger — LOL

@Better Health — I think nylon panties are often much prettier and fancier than cotton, and that’s the draw. Just a theory, though.

….WHOA! That’s just great. There are a few things that surprising. I guess I’ll start keeping these in mind. I’m confused about two of them. the type of exercise i like to engage in is walking and the nylong panty one seems kind “iffy”. I recently purchased these bike shorts from fitandsharp.com. I’ve been using them for about 3 weeks now and have seen a decrease in my waist. I haven’t had any health issues or anything.

  5. Kristen King says:

    Hey, Betty!

Okay, let’s see if this helps:
    - Walking is good if you do it REGULARLY. And yeah, taking the stairs instead of the elevator HELPS, but you really should be walking like HARD walking 20-30 minutes a day. In other words, doing what I do — walking from the couch to the fridge — is not real exercise.
    - Nylon workout shorts are FINE, just don’t wear them when you’re not working out and DO wear cotton-crotched underwear with them. Otherwise, your vagina can’t breathe and you’re far more prone to yeast infections. Some women get them a LOT, and others never do. You may be one of the lucky ones, but still, cotton underwear and loose-fitting clothing are best.

    Less confusing? More helpful?
